What is a BYOUF?

I have a had a couple of people ask "What's Byouf?". Well, the easiest answer is, it's me! The last name, Buford, has been with me for a long time and friends have shortened it to the first few letters as a nickname. However, if you take "BUF" and just say it, not knowing the right way to pronounce the last name, you are more than likely going to end up saying "buff". For years, I didn't know how to actually write it where you would know what I was saying. Then my lovely niece graduated from college. When the prep was being done, they asked her how to say her last name. She wrote it for them "b-you-ford". When she told me that the lightbulb went off. I have been using byouf ever since.
Now don't get me wrong, people still don't get it and that's okay. I know what it is and that is all that matters! But I am glad to now have a forum to share it with you all.
I thought about some other names for this blog but I really wanted one to encompass all the things I wanted to use it for. Laura's world was boring and I'm sure there are probably many of them out there in cyberspace. But I seriously doubt there's another Byouf's world! So you'll read about stuff in my world from the biggest thought of the word world and from my own little world (beware, that's the scary one!).
Happy Wednesday!!

Here it is!

Well, some of you asked for it so here it is! My blog! I hope that you will like it and I hope that I can think of clever things to say on a fairly routine basis.
One of the things I was asked to do was to give reviews of bars, restaurants, movies, and other things. I will also give my opinion on other things in life. Sorry but that is one of the perks of a blog!!
I'll start with my views on The Flying Saucer Pub in The Triangle. I had a great time there! Good amount of seating inside and out. They also had a great happy hour. They have a "fire sale" every day with a different beer on special. They also have 23oz beers for the price of a pint. Now THAT's a deal! I also have to compliment their munchies! One of my favorite things is the you-pick-it-platter. You can choose up to 5 different choices of cheese and meat (salumi). You get chunks of cheese instead of just a few slices. It also comes with almonds and apple slices. A great thing to share.
That is it for today. I need to do some work on the look of the blog site so it will be appealing!
Later!
